Hello there, and welcome!
My name is Beth. I am a sinner saved by grace, wife to a pastor, a busy mama to four little kiddos—and in the midst of the happy chaos that is our life, I find incredible delight in searching for beauty and attempting to capture it with my camera. In spare minutes and late into the night when it’s quiet, I also put my pen to paper, attempting to pin down thoughts and make them concrete in writing. Sometimes I write about the things I photograph; sometimes I write about things completely unconnected to them.
You will soon see from my writing and from the Scripture I regularly share, that I have a great love and highest respect for the Word of God, and that it is the foundation upon which I strive to build my life.
To me every beautiful thing, small or great, in the outdoors is a gift from the Father, covered in the fingerprints of His masterful design. I share them here, praying that you, too, will catch your breath at the wonder of His creation and join me in praising our God from whom all blessings flow!
When I started this blog, I was living in beautiful northern Minnesota, where I enjoyed capturing intimate glimpses of the lakes, fields and forests that surrounded our home. You will find many photos of this state, my home for nearly 36 years, in the archives. In July of 2021, we packed up all our belongings and moved 2,200 miles cross-country to the great state of Alaska. We now live on Prince of Wales Island on the Inner Passage of southeast Alaska, in the small town of Thorne Bay. I and my family are delighting in exploring and experiencing the rainforest, ocean and mountains of our new home, and I hope you will enjoy coming along on our adventures!
You inspire an old mans heart with the beauty you capture with your camera and express with your heart.
